8 Reasons Why Our Hearts Are Easily Restless

 A sign of anxiety is life that feels bland. Everything is lived empty. Eating is not good, sleep is not good. Therefore, it is time for us to identify why the heart is always restless.

First, because of the many sins. Whether we realize it or not, when a believer commits a sin, he will be overcome by guilt. Thus, the heart becomes restless.

His life in isolation. Ibn Qayyim said, `` If you find isolation because of sinful actions, then immediately leave and stay away from sin and immorality. The heart will not be calm with sins. ''

Second, less grateful. In fact, Allah created everything, including everything in heaven and on earth, only for humans.

وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوُهْا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتََُدَعَهٍ

"And there are no reptiles that live on this earth, but Allah gives its sustenance ..." (QS Hud [11]: 6).

Third, it is demanding. It is certain that the heart will always be restless if a person thinks that he must have everything, while he does not have the ability and sufficient support to achieve it.

Fourth, love the world. Rasulullah was worried about his people who loved the world excessively.

إِنَّ مِمَّا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ بَعْدِي ، مَا يُفْتَحُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ زَهْرَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتِهَا وَزِينَتِهَا

"What I fear the most from the people after my death is if the pleasures of the world and its jewels are opened for you." (Muttafaq 'Alaih).

Fifth, too hopeful in humans. Someone who depends on other than Allah, will only be disappointed.

Sixth, wrongdoing. Torturing people, it means leaving bad feelings. Therefore, immediately apologize. Because, apologizing is close to piety which ultimately brings calm:

وَأَنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۚ "And don't forget the virtues among you." (Surah Al-Baqarah [2]: 237).

Seventh, weak faith. A person who is weak in faith will easily complain and blame circumstances. In fact, people who are weak in faith are unsure of God's omnipotence. In fact, life and death, human sustenance and matchmaking, all have been arranged and are in the power of Allah SWT.

Eighth, not really obeying Allah's law, lazy to worship, and reluctant to repent to Him. It can be seen from the number of immoral actions that are carried out every day.
